Aside from our new Effloresce collection, we spent the past few months busy updating our new e-shop which is now finally up! Now, brides-to-be from all over the world can purchase Love, Yu bridal gowns and bridesmaids dresses online. These gowns are made in standard US sizes, and may also be customized for an extra 15%.
Just so as to prevent our Singapore customers from getting confused with the prices – the e-shop prices reflected are different from what you will see at our studio in Singapore as they are not made-to-measure and do not include consultation, fittings and alterations.
If you are in Singapore and would like to purchase a gown online, we can recommend you to an alteration place. Alternatively, if you would rather us work with you on your fittings and alterations, our studio prices will apply.
So if you have any friends overseas who may be interested in a bridal gown from us, please help spread the word. Thanks!
It’s been a while since we have blogged as we have been so busy with launching the new collection Effloresce, which you can now view on our website.
We do have some pretty pictures that our clients sent to us we would like to share with you which I think may inspire some of you brides to be out there reading this blog if you are looking for gown ideas or wedding locations.

Sylvia’s pre-wedding shoot by Lightedpixels. Looks like a fashion spread shoot, doesn’t it? Her gown is a made to measure red pleated silk satin piece.

It was a real pleasure working with Rachel (& Ben) on her gown, so much so that often our appointments would drag on longer because we would end up chatting about other stuff – from vintage goods to holidays and even politics!
Rachel decided to go for “Marion” from our “Old Hollywood” collection, which suited her figure just fine. For her evening gown she decided on a coral silk chiffon ruched gown with some contrasting gemstones on the shoulder strap. This went well with her bridesmaids dresses, which were a darker shade of coral. The style picked was “Celine”, but to differentiate the 4 girls, 2 of them wore the original toga Celine, while the other two had the style modifed into tube dresses.
Here are some pictures from their shoot and wedding day (taken by Lushfolio. Congrats again guys!
Since Janita already had an intricate sari that she was going to use for her wedding gown, she came to our studio to ask for a short fun cocktail piece that she could use for her pre-wedding photoshoot.
Janita had in mind a cute petal shape skirt, and I thought the idea was great as it would suit her bubbly personality. We paired it up with a sleeveless top in taffeta as well, a two piece, so she could re-wear the 2 pieces separately in future.
Here are some photos from their shoot. Congrats guys!
Our mood board inspired by soft, romantic imagery – flowers, chiffon, lace and a beautiful colour palette.
Look out for the new collection coming out in September!
